April 21 from 9:30AM until 9:00PM Dizzy Divas Fabric Shop will be having a "sew-in" What is that? I'm glad you asked! We will be using flannel and towels to give freedom and dignity to women and girls around the world. Young girls must stay home from school one week each month because of the lack of sanitary products. Some girls are kicked out of school if they miss too many days. Women have to stay at home using mats or buckets because because they don't have sufficient access to affordable sanitary products. They are considered social outcasts. We will be making LuoPads which are flannel sanitary pads with toweling inside. They are simple to make! We will have the flannel and toweling and a few sewing machines available. If you can bring yours that would be great! We will be providing all the supplies, so just come and bring a happy heart. Deb Smiddy will be taking the pads to Lancaster in the fall and helping package them up in conjunction with GAiN. Global Aid Network which is a part of Campus Crusade for Christ.
Please save the date and join us for a wonderful project to give women in Africa and the Middle East a taste of freedom!
